Theres many photographers in the world the most appealing would be environmental portrait photographers. With seeing a. environmental portrait there seems to be a story behind each person that is shown. Mary Ellen Mark is one of the many photographers that focus on environmental portrait photography.  Obviously there is other types of photography projects that she has done besides the environmental photography but what she is well known for is her environmental portraits. Mary Ellen Park most well known project would be the images in a documentary that was based on 1960's counterculture.

The images the Mark took gave a different story with each photo she taken it was like each story was shown in each photo. There was something about Marks photography that stands out, it's as if you saw peoples different struggle or personality when viewing the picture. Mark wanted to take photos of those who might be forgotten or unknown and give them a voice. Which she did end up doing what she aimed for because in all the photos you're given curiosity on that person story. Marks art is shown in the photos below and they are either chaotic or an interesting sight.

As mentioned, the blog photos are one of the many photos thatMark showed in her projects about struggles or topics people have forgotten. The pictures either show a type of emotion or story as in the first picture where it shows a chaotic event of a man pointing his finger at the camera. There is many things you could spot in the picture like their environment and the faces of each individual in that photo. Mark also capture just an individual person and the one that gives an eerie feeling but also intriguing pic is the picture of the lady in the hospital bed. At first glance it more of an eerie feeling you get but then you have all these questions of where and why is the person in their state when picture was taken.  Amongst other photos as well they all have either a story of family or a story of influences on kids.
